Winchester White was engaged by this large UK bancassurer to provide expert advice and support into a programme to rationalise and renegotiate various third party service contracts. Our consultants provided domain expertise and advice on industry practice, service levels, commercials and scope of service as part of the negotiating team.

The outcome of the renegotiation will be a streamlined and more cost effective arrangement providing a more consistent level of service and better leverage of economies of scale of the outsourced service providers.

Systems

Winchester White was engaged by this major fund management group to provide expertise and a robust process to the programme to identify and select a strategic technology platform to support the launch into a new market sector. Our involvement covered the following aspects:

  • Planning, managing and co-ordinating all evaluation and selection activities
  • Ensuring business objectives, priorities, imperatives and constraints were defined and agreed
  • Definition and initial assessment of options and recommending a short-list of systems for further evaluation
  • Planning and leading workshops to define detailed operational and IT requirements
  • Managing the relationship with short-listed suppliers during the evaluation process
  • Arranging and leading meetings and workshops with suppliers and producing working agendas and minutes
  • Production of the Request for Information to facilitate the structured and consistent presentation of proposals by short-listed suppliers
  • Arranging and attending meetings with existing users of the short-listed systems and producing working agendas and minutes
  • Analysing the information gathered during the evaluation process and recommending a preferred supplier and product. Supporting this recommendation with a detailed report
  • Facilitating a planning workshop to develop a detailed implementation plan
  • Recommending the appointment of the preferred supplier.
